This 20’x 24′ cabin offers a full 2 floors of space. Also a full width 8′ wide covered front porch and an 8’x24′ rear covered storage overhang is nestled on over 4 acres on Fox Road (Trail C4) in Redfield which is the main groomed snowmobile trail in the winter months.
The wall studs are all 2×6 and the rafters are 2×8. The second level could be left as open sleeping area, and fit many bunks, or could be divided into 2-3 bedrooms. The second level has 2×10 pine flooring which is the floor from above and the ceiling from below. This is supported below by 3×8 pine joists that give the cabin a nice rustic wood appeal. All this lumber was milled locally from some pine trees harvested from the property.
The main level has a kitchen with tile counter top, custom base and upper cabinets, bathroom with ceramic tile floor, nice sized livingroom and dining area. The camp is insulated in the floor, walls, and ceilings with R-19 and wired with 100 amp service and an exterior generator plug. Simply plug in a generator and the cabin is wired just like a house. Electric service is located about 650′ down the road and will be available to the road front of this cabin by summer 2014. Another great option would be solar power.</span
The camp was built in the summer of 2013 using first rate construction products including 2×6 for all exterior studs, 2×8 for all rafters, Fabral Metal Roofing, Tyvek House Wrap, Synthetic Roof Underlayment, Energy Efficient Low E Argon Grided Windows, Pressure Treated front Porch, Wood Siding, Hand Peeled Hemlock Porch Support Posts, Olympic Maximum exterior stain. The cabin also has Hand Made Adirondack style railings. Log Beds, and other furniture to furnish the camp are available at an additional cost.
I will be installing the septic in the spring of 2014 and also will have the drilled well and water system completed if the buyer is interested in that for an agreed upon price.
The siding on the camp is pine board and batten style which is planed smooth and stained. No details have been left out on this getaway cabin.
The front porch measures 8 foot x 24 foot and is also surrounded with hand peeled adirondack style logs. The porch is a great spot to stack your wood in the winter, cook-out, and enjoy the evenings in the summer, or swing on a hanging porch swing. The back overhang can easily be closed in for storage of snowmobiles, atv’s, etc. Or it could also easily provide additional living space if closed in. The layout of the place offers a buyer a lot of flexibility.
Enjoy your privacy at this cabin that is set about 300′ from the main gravel road in a private driveway with a cable gate. Plowed winter parking is available about 650′ from this cabin.
You will not find a cabin built in the area that offers as much as this place. The construction is all first rate and the location is second to none. The hunting is exceptional and the snowmobiling is even better.
What better way to outfit your wilderness cabin than with local, handmade, rustic decor.
